What’s Included With Every Adoption

When you adopt from CHASE Dog Rescue, your dog comes fully prepared for a healthy start in their new home. If a private owner were to pay for these services individually at a veterinary clinic, the cost would typically range between $500 and $900+ per dog, depending on age and medical needs.

Most adopted dogs include:

  • Spay or Neuter Surgery (up to $450)

  • Rabies Vaccination ($20–$35)

  • DHPP (Distemper/Parvo) Vaccinations ($75–$150 total series)

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccine ($20–$40)

  • Deworming Treatment ($25–$50)

  • Basic Health Examination ($50–$90 office visit)

These are standard veterinary services that responsible owners would need to provide within the first few months of ownership.

By adopting through CHASE, these essential medical needs are already handled — reducing immediate financial burden while ensuring each dog is safe, healthy, and ready for their forever home.

Adoption FAQs

What is the adoption process?

1

The Process for adopting a dog is VERY Simple. Click on a dog that interests you, read about him and then do the following:

  1. Submit an adoption application.

  2. We review your application and contact references if needed.

  3. Schedule a meet-and-greet (by appointment only).

  4. If approved, complete the adoption agreement and take your dog home.

Why do some adoption fees look like unusual amounts?

2

To keep things simple and transparent, our adoption fees are structured so that the final total after applicable sales tax is a clean, round number (for example, $30.00 after tax).

This means the listed pre-tax amount may appear slightly adjusted. We do this to ensure adopters know the exact total they will pay at checkout, with no unexpected cents or rounding differences.

Can I meet a dog before applying?

3

ABOSULTELY YES! We ask that an application be submitted first, as this helps ensure serious inquiries and allows us to prepare the best match for your household, but yes! We can schedule a meet and greet at our rescue or plan to meet you in a public area. We can also do Virtual Meet and Greets as needed.

What if the adoption does not work out?

4

You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

Do I have to be local to adopt?

5

NO! We consider qualified adopters regardless of location, though additional coordination may be required, we have helped our dogs be adopted all over Oklahoma as well as in many other states!
